Breathing Is Healing
Pranayama
Pranayama is a Sanskrit term that refers to the expansion and retention of prana — the vital life force carried through the breath.
The breath is powerful. It is the bridge between body, mind, and spirit.
Pranayama is a sacred tool that helps us become more aware of the breath and teaches us how to use it intentionally to:
- Purify the body
- Balance the nadis (energy channels)
- Allow prana to flow freely
In 2024, I studied traditional pranayama as part of my yoga teacher training in India, and it has become a regular part of my own healing practice.
Before that, I explored and taught various other forms of breathwork. While all breath practices have their power, traditional yogic pranayama is what I resonate with most — for its depth, structure, and subtlety.
This practice has been deeply transformational in my own journey.
I’ve found that the ancient techniques of breath retention and expansion are best cultivated through the time-honored methods of pranayama.
I would love to explore these techniques with you — to help you develop a personal daily practice that supports your clarity, balance, and inner strength.
Because the breath is life.
And to breathe with awareness is to live with power.
Connecting Through Our Breath
The breath is our bridge — between body, mind, and spirit.
Through conscious breathing, we return to presence, balance, and inner vitality.
If you’re curious about developing a personal pranayama practice, I’d be honoured to support you. Whether you're just beginning or looking to deepen your connection to the breath, you're welcome here.

Please note:
Pranayama is traditionally practiced under the guidance of a teacher, ideally once a foundational asana (yoga) practice is established. That said, you can begin by building simple awareness — gentle breath practices that prepare you for deeper exploration.
Beginners are always welcome.
